Rainbow Carousel,
I was a caregiver to a lovely elderly woman, she was 96. We became such great friends! I started working on this painting when she had a stroke and ended up in the hospital. She would awake from her deep sleep when she heard the sound of my voice. My last two visits with Grace were the most joyful; we laughed and planned our day out just as it always had.
This piece is a very personal and emotional compilation of cold wax and encaustic, liquid glazes with oil paints and softened with pan pastel, 11”x15” on Aches Oil paper.
